Speaker(s) : Elmar Rückert Event : ROS Summer School Maribor Place : Maribor, Slovenia Date and Time : 02/19/2014, 2:00 pm Abstract : Partners : TUG - Institute for Theoretical Computer Science Notes : Lecture on robot learning with examples from the AMARSi project
The AMARSi consortium is preparing to travel to Tübingen for a general meeting and workshop on the 5th, 6th and 7th of November. In occasion of this workshop, AMARSi organises a symposium open to the public on Monday the 5th of November.
Gerhard Neumann and Elmar Rückert from TUG attended a 3 days workshop on reservoir computing given by Tim Waegeman, Francis Wyffels and Ken Caluwaerts from Reservoir Lab, Ghent University. On the 12 to the 14 of January 2011
Gerhard Neumann and Elmar Rückert from TUG gave a series of lectures during a 2 days workshop for AMARSi students and researchers on probabilistic inference as a general tool for motor planning. They presented a short overview over graphical models, inference in graphical models, message passing, and approximate message passing.
Andrea d'Avella has organized a session at the Annual Meeting of the Society for the Neural Control of Movement (April 2010), entitled “Adaptive modular architectures for rich motor skills: ideas and challenges towards a constructive approach”,to present and discuss the interdisciplinary approach of AMARSi to the human motor control community.
Workshop for high school children on robotics ("wetenschapsweek"). People responsible for the workshp were F. Wyffels, T. Waegeman, P.J. Kinder-mans and M. D'Haene. http://reslab.elis.ugent.be/wetenschapsweek Flemish science week workshop Unknown date
